Micro Seven Model
CD15, caller-ID receiver, announces caller’s telephone number in your voice.
CD15 operates as either stand-alone or PC mode, and CD15 displays caller’s
telephone number, date/time and name. CD15 allows you to record your own voice
segment into CD15 for announcing caller’s telephone number. PC mode displays
complete caller-ID information on screen while it stores the exact information
in a text file in PC. Voice volume and pitch control of voice segment are
programmable by using supplied control software. Recorded voice segment may be
upload/download between PC and CD15 through RS232 interface. CD15 contains internal
audio speaker for voice announcement. CD15 is operated or programmed by using
Windows compatible software.

Caller-ID receiver: on-hook caller-ID data delivery
for both single message and multiple message formats.
Voice announcement: 0.5 second for numerical data (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9) and 2 seconds for “private number” and “out-of-area”.
Volume adjustment: 0-100% by using control software
Voice pitch adjustment: +0 to +100%
Voice data: upload/downloadable by using control software
Speaker: 8-ohm internal speaker
External audio connector: on rear panel, 3.5 mm is plugged to output audio
signal while disabling audio output through internal speaker
RS232 interface: 57.6k baud, 8 bit, no parity, hardware
RTS/CTS control, 9-pin D-sub M/F is provided as a standard accessory.

Connect PBX or PSTN
telephone line at telephone connector at rear panel. Connect the AC/DC power
adapter that is supplied with CD15 and serial interface cable between CD15 and
PC. Turn on power switch on front panel.
If your RS232
communication port is other than “COM1”, edit “comport” file with notebook
editor from factory standard “COM1:” to “COM2”, etc.
From Windows, “RUN”,
“A:\m71003.exe” (caller-ID receiver). The PC display shows “Ready”.
Call the telephone
number at CD15 from another telephone like a cell phone, which must not be
private number or caller-ID blocked.
Notice that your
telephone is ringing. After the first ringing, caller’s telephone number (your
cell phone number or other telephone number) is announced.

and confirm the above caller-ID information is written in the file.
Voice programming
Run “pm10.exe” from
the floppy disk that is provided. This software has been developed for Micro
Seven model PM10, Pet Monitor (Patient Monitor) with temperature and sound
alarm panel capability. CD15 does not use entire software.
Audio volume adjustment in “playing/recording/audio
volume:
Click “Private Number
(2 sec)”, “playing”, and “execute”. You will hear announcement of private
number. Move “Audio volume level” slide control, and click “execute”, and you
hear the same announcement in different audio volume.
Audio pitch adjustment
Click “More programming”, move a slide control “Voice Pitch
Control”. Exit this section by clicking “X” at upper right hand corner. Click
“execute”. You hear the same “private number” sound again in a different pitch.
Voice recording
Go to the previous
audio pitch adjustment in section 3.3.2, and move slide control maximum at far
right hand side. Go to the main section. Select “Private number (2 sec)” and
“recording”, and be ready for you to record your own voice. The microphone is
located near CD15 front panel. Click “execute” and speak “private number” in
your own voice. Notice the sound duration slide control moves as the time goes
by for two seconds.
Click “playing”, and
“execute”. You will hear new “private number” announcement in your own voice.
You can continue to
record “out-of-area” by selecting “Out-of-Area”, and repeat the same procedure
as the above procedure.
Then find “0.5 sec
voice segment” section. First click “Playing”. The voice duration for numbers
is 0.5 seconds long, and the first announcement is “0” as shown in the edit
window. Be ready to record “0” into CD15, and click “Recording” and speak “0”
into the microphone. Click “Playing” to confirm your recording. To move to next
digit, click “Next Voice Segment”, and continue the same procedure. To go back
to “0”, continue click “Next Voice
Segment”.
Voice file uploading and downloading
Your recorded voice segment may be uploaded
Your recorded voice
segments may be uploaded/downloaded to a file in PC by entering name of file in
the “voicedata” edit area, select “voice file upload” or “download”, and click
“start download/upload”. Then uploading or downloading starts, and data
transmission is shown in the “download/upload progress”. The upload/download
may take sixty seconds. When it is completed “Upload/download is completed” is
shown in the window.
