Introduction

 

PC300-16CIDCONV, a 19-inch rack-mount instrument, provides caller-ID conversion for American corporation to market products in overseas market quickly. PC300-16CIDCONV receives many different caller-ID data signal in FSK or DTMF method either in ETS, UK, and Japan, and it generates ring signal and Bellcore-format FSK caller-ID signal between ring signal. It contains maximum sixteen channels. It is compatible with single or multiple message formatted FSK signal. Outgoing calls are not affected. PC300-16CIDCONV converts private/out-of-area in ETS or Bellcore format to regular name and telephone numbers in multiple or single message format. Single line box, LS15-CIDCONV is also available.

SPECIFICATIONS:

One of the following configurations is available:

Configuration 1: Conversions between ETS and Bellcore with FSK data transmission are available for receiving caller-ID data between ring signal. For example,  PC300-CIDCONV receives CID data at input connector A between ring signal in ETS format, and it generates ring signal at output RJ11 connector (connector B). Between first and second ring signal generated at connector B, FSK signal in Bellcore format is output at connector B. There is a configuration option to convert single message format to multiple message format or to convert multiple message format to single message format.

Configuration 2: Conversion from DTMF caller-ID format to Bellcore with FSK data transmission between ring signal: PC300-CIDCONV receives DTMF caller-ID data at input connector A, and it generates ring signal at output RJ11 connector (connector B). Between first and second ring signal generated at connector B, FSK signal in Bellcore format is output at connector B. There is a configuration option to select single message format or multiple message format for output at connector B.

Configuration 3: Conversion from Bellcore/ETS(FSK) to DTMF method

Configuration 7: Conversion from Bellcore/ETS(FSK) to UK caller-ID standard

Configuration 8: Conversion from private or out-of-area calls to regular name and telephone number: New name and telephone number is programmable by using serial interface. It can be programmed to convert Bellcore private or out-of-area to regular name and telephone number.

Front-panel control:

Line Input Jack: USOC-RJ11C, standard modular phone jacks for input and output

Input RJ11 connector (Connector A): FXO interface or PBX/telephone line input
Isolated voltage: 1500V RMS by using telephone coupling transformer and opto-coupler

Output RJ11 connector (Connector B): FXS interface or PBX inside line
Ring Signal for output connector: 90 Volts RMS, 20HZ, 2 sec on/4 sec off
Maximum Load: 5.5 K ohm (equivalent to 1.45B of Ringer Equivalent Number). Note: Overloading any line will cause problems in all other lines.
Battery-feed (loop voltage) at output RJ11 connector: -30V minimum
Dialing at output RJ11 connector: rotary-pulse and DTMF dialing 

Line Status Display: Red LED display for each line is provided to show off-hook state (steady on) or ringing state (blinking).

RS232 connector (serial interface for programming parameters), 9600 baud/one stop bit/no parity.
