Telephone-Call Router, model RT10

Micro Seven’s telephone call router, RT10, contains two outside line interfaces. The model RT10 receives a call at one line and originates another call at the other line. The audio signals are connected between two lines. A password must be entered to originate a call at the other line. Password, number of ring, disabling receiving calls, and maximum error count are programmable. The RT10 may also be programmed to hang up a call, dial a number, and then may receive another dialing instruction at the other line to enable sophisticated telephone routing. One of the application of the Telephone-Call Router, model RT10 is to enable a outside company salesperson to charge long-distance telephone calls to the company’s main telephone number. The RT10 also adds external telephone line interface to Micro Seven's MINI-PBX SIMULATOR product line. The RT10 is equipped with an 117V AC Adapter. A 230V AC Adapter is also available upon request.

OPERATIONS

An incoming call to RT10 is answered by turning an off-hook relay on, and generating continuous signal of 500hz. Enter a password followed with a telephone number. If the password is correct, it will turning a different off-hook relay on another line and dial the number. When the password entry is not correct, it will hang up the original call. Here, password protection and providing maximum number of error are implemented to protect illegal usage.

There are four RJ11-c connectors, line 1 in, line 1 out, line 2 in, and line 2 out. The line 1-in and line 2-in are connected to telephone companies. The line 1-out and line 2-out are connected to telephone sets and fax machines. When line 1 or line 2 is busy or in use, telephone call-routing will not take place. A number of ring to be ignored before RT10 answers is programmable.

A new password may be entered at a very first incoming call after power is applied. The prompt signal is 500 Hz, which is slightly different in frequency. During the prompt time, a new password may be entered by dialing * + (old password)+* +(new password)+#. A new password will be stored in RT10 permanently.
